This is an example of a
"pirate ship" of over 24 metres OAL used for tourist excursions
from George Town Harbour. This is in fact a former Scandinavian
trading schooner which has been refitted and used for a number of
years in this new role. This ship underwent an insurance survey - partly in Grand Cayman and partly in a port in Cuba, as there is presently no marine facility large enough to handle the "hauling out" of such a large vessel within Grand Cayman. |
